Weed Survey of Andover Lake

A group from the Connecticut Agricultural Experiment Station is expected to conduct survey of aquatic weeds in Andover Lake in early to mid August. Residents should not be alarmed if they see a boat with a gasoline outboard motor on the lake during this period. Although motors of any kind are not normally allowed on Andover Lake, the ALMA board approved the use of a motor by the survey group. The survey is intended to identify the type and location of aquatic weeds growing in the lake, including invasive ones such as Eurasian Milfoil if present.
